Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit this website.

Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information."

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • "Cookies" are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • "Log files" track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

Additionally, when you contact us through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide. We refer to this information as "Contact Information."

When we talk about "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Contact Information.

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the Contact Information that we collect generally to communicate with you when you reach out to us through the contact form. We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimize our Site.

Resumes and tailoring for a role

This site serves resume tailoring for mentors.coach. If you use it there, the following arrives here and is processed here:

  • The text of your resume — the file you sent or the text you pasted,
  • The text of the vacancy you are tailoring it to,
  • Your answers about your experience — what you confirmed yourself,
  • Your name, your email address and your mentors.coach account number are not passed here as separate fields. But a resume is a document about you: name, contacts and employers are normally in its text.

Taking the vacancy apart, asking the questions and rewriting the bullet points are done by Claude language models from Anthropic. That means the texts listed above are passed to Anthropic to carry out the request; Anthropic acts as a processor, and its processing terms are on its side.

The model decides nothing about you. It asks questions and proposes wording, and only what you confirmed reaches the resume: no line appears without your confirmation. No consequence for you — selection, rejection, price — is based on this processing.

The conversation is not stored here: it travels through your browser, and its copy stays on mentors.coach, where you delete it yourself. What stays here is the built resume: its text sits in our database (Neon, AWS eu-central-1, Frankfurt). It has no fixed retention period today — it stays until you ask for it to be deleted.

Please do not put in a resume what does not belong there: health, criminal records, religious or political views, trade union membership. Such data needs special protection and we do not ask for it.

Deletion of a built resume, a copy of your data, correction, objection to processing — by email to mikhail@dorokhovich.com. We answer within 30 days. Deleting on mentors.coach removes the copy there, not here: to remove it here as well, write to us.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share Personal Information with third parties in two cases only. First: resume processing — see the “Resumes and tailoring for a role” section below. Second: to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights. Otherwise we neither share nor sell your information.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our Site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Data Retention

When you contact us through the Site, we will maintain your Contact Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
